Roundshot Livecam Apps - Updates
Before the old year comes to an end, we have implemented some important updates for our Livecam multimedia software.
We are very pleased to briefly introduce you to these new apps (version 1.1) including the most important changes:
We have expanded the Livecam apps to include new options (ticker text, top-right sponsors), simplify usability (improved behavior for 1-camera customers, flexible carousel, improved functions) and ensure compatibility (iphone 6+ , 6S+).
Our two apps are available to download for IOS and Android smartphones and tablets:

- In the camera view, the images are now displayed as full screen (instead of “fit-to-screen”)
- To increase consistency across all livecam media, the sponsors are now also visualized in the apps at the top right
- The image resolution can now be flexibly defined, which leaves all possibilities open for the future
- The popular ticker text is now also available in the apps
- Do you particularly like a Livecam? Mark this as a “favorite” directly in the camera view
The carousel now automatically adapts to the content, meaning that only the relevant menu items are displayed. For single-camera apps, the menu is automatically reduced to Livecam, Links, and Map.
We have added a new search function to the Roundshot Livecam Global app. This helps to find any Livecam in the Roundshot network very easily and quickly.
If the user grants access to location services, the "around me" function displays the Livecams within a maximum radius of 300km, sorted by increasing distance. If the user does not grant this access, this feature is not available.
Another important update to the apps concerns compatibility with the latest smartphones such as the iPhone 6+ and 6S+.
We have also improved the camera texts (now with "customer name" + "camera name") as well as a selection of distance units ("km" or "miles") and date formats ("dd-mm-yyy" or "mm -dd-yyyy") was introduced.
The trend towards more intensive mobile use continues and we are pleased that the distribution of our apps is growing rapidly. We wish you a lot of fun!
