We present the new Livecam gen 5!

Many Livecam locations are remote and sometimes a steady power supply is impossible to provide. This is why we developed the Roundshot Livecam generation 5 with independent power management.
The system works completely independent from any mains supply using a powerful solar panel with battery with charge controller. In short, here are some of the special characteristics of the new camera:
- gen 5 Livecam with reduced weight (7.75kg) and 4G mobile internet router
- dedicated power management for limited power supply: 0-3 heating systems, manual instead of motorized tilt
- onboard power management system to shut down/restart camera services depending on available power
- solar panel with charge controller and battery
- butler IoT device with separate 4G mobile internet connection for remote restarting and controlling power data (status and flow of battery) via our roundshot cloud
Werner Seitz, head of the Technical Department at Roundshot, says:
"With the Livecam generation 5 solar camera we have created an intelligent and flexible solution that enables many new 360° panorama applications, for example in remote mountain cabins, in national parks or on mountain passes for weather observation."
